Mom's Homemade Crescent Rolls!!

Every year since I was a little girl I have looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner because of My mom's Homemade Crescent Rolls!!  I would watcher her deliberately mix together the delicate ingredients and carefully follow each step of the recipe instructions.  Then she would wake up early the next morning to roll out, butter, and masterfully create each individual beautiful roll.  The smell that would waft from the oven as she baked each pan would literally cause excitement in each person in the house!  It meant family would soon arrive an even better dinner would soon be served!!!  The memories of family dinner's and Holiday's past are all wrapped up in the smell of my mother's cooking.  I had a very blessed childhood and I'd love to share some of it with you!  So here is the recipe for these fabulous rolls, just be sure that you plan enough time for all of the rising and refrigerating that this task requires.

2 Pkgs Dry Yeast (2 1/4 tsp/ pkg)
2 Cups Warm Water
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
6 Eggs Beaten
1 1/2 tsp Salt
8-9 Cups Flour

Mix yeast with 2 tbsp of sugar and 2 cups of war water; add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and mix well.  Sift in flour and salt and mix well and let rise for 2 hours.  Stir it down and refrigerate for at least 6-7 hours.  Then stir down again and divide into 5 equal parts roll out one piece at a time cover with softened butter and cut into 12 pieces (like a pie) and roll each small piece from outside (wide edge) to inside and place on greased cookie sheet and let rise in warm kitchen for 4-5 hours.  When fully raised bake on 400 for 10 minutes.

You will never have anything as yummy as these rolls; your family will thank you!!

Beautiful Bella's Birthday Bash!!

Can you decipher our theme yet?  It was my daughter Isabella's FIRST birthday!  I always do a fun party for my babies first birthday but this one was a little more than just a celebration of her first year, it was also a milestone for my husband and I.  This is our youngest and last child.  So I felt the need to really do it up this time:)  So we decided to make it a 'B' themed party!  We had BBQ Pulled Pork on Buns, Broccoli Salad, BBQ Chips, and Bery Berry Juice (that was literally the name!) for dinner.  Then we had Brownies, Monogrammed 'B' sugar cookies, B-claires and a B-box cake for dessert!!!  Then we played "basket races", Ball toss, and Balloon bounce for games and finally we ended the night with a bounce house and bubbles just for Bella!!  It was a fantastic night with great friends and family and Isabella and I both really enjoyed ourselves!!  Happy Birthday IsaBella!!  Momma Loves YOU girl!!
